Once you are ready to book your appointment, please follow the steps on Halaxy, our patient management and booking system, to schedule an appointment time suitable for you.

Full payment of the consultation fee is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment.

We understand that life can sometimes be unpredictable, and plans may need to change. To ensure we can continue providing high-quality care to all our patients, we have established the following policy:

1. Cancellations or Appointment Changes
   • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request at least 3 business days' notice.
   • Cancellations or changes made with less than 3 business days' notice will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the original consultation fee.
   • Please note the credit card processing fee will be deducted from your refund amount.

The cancellation fee must be made in full before your appointment. You cannot receive a Medicare rebate on cancellation fees.

Medicare Item Number 92435/291 

If you have consulted a psychiatrist sometime within the last 12 months, you must confirm the item numbers provided apply to your situation. For instance, if you are planning to access treatment but have already used item 92435, your out-of-pocket expenses may be much higher than anticipated. Please keep in mind it is the sole responsibility of the patient to confirm the eligibility of item numbers and Medicare rebates. You can verify this information by accessing your Medicare online account or by contacting Medicare directly at 132 011.

Medicare Rebate Processing Time

At Altitude Mind Clinic, we take care of processing your Medicare rebate on your behalf. Once the rebate is submitted, Medicare will usually take up to 72 hours to deposit the amount into your registered bank account, as long as your details are correctly set up with them. If the rebate has not been processed within this timeframe, you can contact Medicare directly at 1300 360 460 to check your claim status and verify your bank account details. Should you need a copy of your invoice, receipt, or Medicare statement, let us know and we will email it to you.

• Medicare Safety Net

Medicare Safety Nets are government funding programs designed to help individuals and families reduce their out-of-pocket medical expenses (including specialist appointments) covered by Medicare. When you spend over a certain amount in a calendar year, Medicare will give you a higher amount back.

At Altitude Mind Clinic, we are not a bulk billing service. Please refer to the appointment fees and rebates for each practitioner. 

Administrative work, including medical reports, certificates or applications, will incur a separate fee. The fee will be determined by the complexity of the work required. This will be determined by your clinician.
