Why Choose Altitude Mind Clinic
Specialist Expertise in Adult ADHD Dr Ravi Sohal is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists with a special interest in adult ADHD. His 20 years of psychiatry experience further supports his ADHD expertise as adult ADHD can overlap with anxiety, trauma, depression, PTSD, OCD, sleep issues, substance use and mood disorders.
Comprehensive ADHD Assessments Our assessment process, with Clinical Psychologist Iris Waite, includes detailed consultation, assessment of symptoms and cognitive function, as well as consideration of co-existing conditions. We take the time to understand your unique presentation and how ADHD affects your work, relationships and daily life.
Accessible Telehealth Services From Sydney CBD, inner suburbs, Eastern suburbs, Northern suburbs, Western suburbs or Southern suburbs, our telehealth model provides access to expert ADHD support from the comfort of your own home. No commute, no waiting rooms - just professional, confidential care via secure video consultation.
From ADHD Assessment to Management
Initial ADHD Assessment Detailed discussion about your current symptoms, childhood history, education, work, relationships, mental health, general health and family history. A questionnaire and other information may also be requested to help us identify ADHD or other considerations.
Adult ADHD Diagnosis Diagnosis may take more than one appointment, especially if symptoms are complex or there are other mental health concerns. We need to understand what is happening and how it affects your life to connect you with the support that is going to be most helpful. Your psychiatrist will walk you through any diagnosis, what it means and your treatment options.
Treatment Planning to Review Treatment may include medication if it is clinically suitable, but it is not the case for everyone. If medication is part of your plan, follow-up appointments will be scheduled to review response, side effects, dose, sleep, appetite, mood and daily function. Our psychology services can assist with ongoing management including strategies for routines, work habits and emotional regulation.
About Adult ADHD
We find that for many adults, ADHD has been present for years but was never recognised. You may have heard yourself described as capable but inconsistent, bright but disorganised or good under pressure but unable to keep routines going. Symptoms can also become more noticeable and harder to manage when life becomes more demanding. University, deadlines, business ownership, parenting, caring responsibilities and high-pressure roles can all place extra strain on attention, memory and organisation.
Altitude Mind Clinic provides adult ADHD assessment and treatment planning in a private, supportive setting. Our clinicians are experienced and take the time to understand your symptoms, history, health and everyday challenges specific to you. No matter where you are located, you can access high-quality ADHD psychiatric care via secure video consultation.
Common Signs of Adult ADHD
ADHD does not look the same for everyone, but here are some common experiences:
- Struggling to hold attention or focus
- Difficulty completing or starting tasks
- Impulsive decision-making or difficulty waiting
- Restlessness or feeling constantly "on the go"
- Disorganisation, lateness and poor time management
- Sleep disruption or difficulty falling asleep
- Forgetfulness in daily activities and commitments
- Feeling regularly overstimulated or overwhelmed
- Emotional reactivity or dysregulation
- Underachievement at work despite having the capability
If these symptoms seem relatable and are impacting your life, a professional ADHD assessment with Altitude Mind Clinic could open the door to self-discovery, strategies and effective treatment.
